1. To learn and review from time to time what is learned
【Source】
The Master said, “Is it not a pleasure to learn and review from time to time what is learned? Is it not a delight to have friends coming from afar? Is it not the man of noble character who bears no grudges when not being recognized? ”
The Analects•Xue Er Chapter1.1
【Comments】
The chapter emphasizes taking learning as a great pleasure and not feeling angry when not being recognized. It reflects the view of Confucius on having insatiable desire to learn, teaching tirelessly and focusing on self-cultivation and self-discipline.
